Happy New Year Peeps...

happy new year y'all...
christmas was officially celebrated well here in the house of bob... santa made his appearance...

leaving lots of goodies for all...

even mimi was excited... here she is trying to figure out where the most delicious smell in the world is coming from... CATNIP! She od'd and passed out for the day

littlest bob had all of her wishes granted... of course ;o)

little bob with our adorable nieces and two of her most favorite people ever... have you ever seen such a bevy of beauties?

lb got her snow on... she's 5 and has already traveled to three continents and had a white christmas. i, on the other hand, had to wait until the ripe old age of 40 to post those stats...

another of lb's most favorite people in the world (uncle d) spent the day with her...she's missing her uncle d!

snow santa... you can tell from the other side

so we're all thawed out now and i've been scurrying around trying to do all that i wanted to do over the last two weeks of houseboundness. i'm glad to see that ssg and predo and all are able to get out and about too!

we don't have any real plans for new years so will probably spend it watching movies and cleaning up the rest of the mess left over from house guests and christmas etc. i usually like to go out on new years but as i get older, and now have a little one that depends on me, i don't like to be out on the roads with the rest of the revelers. one of these new years, i want to get a bunch of people together and go rent a cabin in the mountains for night sledding/skiing, playing games, etc. and ringing in the new year. would be fun and nice not to have to worry about who's driving home, etc.

so next week it's back to school for two of us and getting back into the swing of things. i have enjoyed my time but will be nice to get back into a daily groove. somehow, the more free time i have, the less i seem to get done. funny how that happens...

I want to be where you are! I would love to have all that snow...WOW!

LB looks like she is having a wonderful time and is such a sweetheart.

I would love to help with her 100 wishes quilt and I can get the whole ball rolling for you and quilt it if you would like. I have another blogging friend who adopted from China and I made two blocks for her quilt, one for the quilt and one on a card with the wish. We can figure out how you want to do it and it will be done in no time.

I would love to do it because I am a birth mom who sees her baby twice a year...he's 7 and I know what it means to adopt and for the mother to know that the child has a wonderful life. It would mean a lot to me to help with this.

Looks like you all had a FABULOUS Christmas! And those little girls - simply precious! The kitty even had the spirit of the season!

I too prefer to stay at home on New Years! As I get older, I find it more fulfilling to end the current year and start out the next with the most important lives I know - my family!

Love you Kitten! Have a wonderful evening and a great new year!!!

Happy New Year!

We haven't gone out to celebrate in a number of years. The older we get, the less we seem to want to be in the midst of a crowd. We're looking forward to a quiet night at home, with lots of seafood:)

Looks like The Bobs had an amazing Christmas!!!

I know EXACTLY what you mean! Poor John, by the time he gets his vacation I have a good list of things that we need to accomplish. But we start out just wanting to relax together and if we happen to get something done, fine. The days continue and occasionally I push a tiny bit to do some of the things on the list, but, we never get much of anything accomplished during the time off. We don't want to! Or at least not too much!
That snow is beautiful! And so are those girls!
